The golf course is for sale- Homeowners what is your fears, opinions, and options?

We live in a great community that is changing. It is your responsibility to make sure that those changes are positive.

We all want:

· Our home values to appreciate

· Reduction in crime

· And to keep our golf course a golf course.

We need to organize. Please leave your name, address, phone, and e-mail address.

Why? The City of Lakeland is forming a committee to decide whether it is in the city’s best interest to purchase the golf course. The other options are to sell to developers who will try and get it rezoned, or keep it as a golf course.

Thanks Michael for taking time to represent the residents of Stonebridge. We had an association years ago that was fairly active. We were not a part of Lakeland and the homeowners association was the only community we had. Since being annexed into Lakeland the association just died.

I think that someone with the energy and time could revive the old association. There were bylaws and rules and regulations for homeowners. We paid either $25 or $50 dollars a year to support the association. Our main problem was the bylaws were not a part of all the deeds and had limited enforcement abilities.

But I for one would be interested in helping revive this neighborhoood into an associaition.

Hey Michael I too would be up for forming a Stonebridge HOA. I think there are some things we could do to improve the way things look around here and some things that need looking at. Contact me any time.

Got the blogspot from the lakeland newsletter I received in the mail today. So glad to find more concerned homeowners having a discussion out there. I bought my home in August. I find my school will probably be rezoned for next year, the golf corse is for sale and I worry about the stabilty of the area...
I have am interest in forming a HOA so we can come together for good of our neighborhood, particularly in the areas of safety, schools and stability.

Last night at the BOC they had an overview of the condition of the golf course- I will lay out the details soon. I would like to meet all of you next week to discuss how we can inform all of our neighbors and get a consesus on what needs to be done- Thank you so much for responding-
